The annual conference of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme, the AAL Forum, will take place in Lecce, Italy, between 26 and 28 September 2011.

The SeniorChannel project has been presented as a contribution to the Forum and now we are waiting to the AAL Forum Programme Committee decition to know if SeniorChannel is finally selected.

Consultation event at user´s "Asociación Parque Galicia" centre

A two day consultation event took place at the user´s "Asociación Parque Galicia" center in Alicante (Spain). It was focused on identifying specific types of activities that would be both enjoyable and of practical value.

Using the protocols designed by the University of Padova to interview the final users about their preference for system functionalities and content, two activities were conduced by the consortium members: Brainstorm Multimedia, University of Padova and subcontractors WhiteLoop and InnovaTec. The results of the consultation were used as a guide in the specification process of Users Requirements.


Special Technical Meeting at Madrid PDF Print E-mail

A special technical meeting was held at Madrid (Spain) on the 26th of April, 2011 in order to organize the technical work of the SenniorChannel project.

The meeting took place in the "Cerro de la Plata" center of Indra Software Labs, where representatives from the technical members of the consortium: Indra Software Labs, BrainStorm Multimedia, Audemat and the subcontractor Cedetel joined with the main objective of stablishing the final architecture of SeniorChannel and also to distribute the work between the technical partners.

Virtual TV Studio

One of the most important developments in SeniorChannel Project is the setting up of a Virtual Studio to produce TV Programs in the Senior Centres without investing in expensive physical sets. With only a fixed camera, a video mixer and a chromakey, the centres will be able to produce their own programs in a very attractive virtual set with advanced 3D graphics that will add realism to the live or recorded programs to broadcast. In this research field, Brainstorm Multimedia has started to develop a low cost virtual studio software that integrates the video mixer and the chromakey in the own software.

First Plenary Meeting in Bordeaux PDF Print E-mail

The first plenary meeting of the SeniorChannel project was held in Bordeaux, France on December 14-15 2010.
In this meeting the consortium’s members presented a report status of the work developed in this first annuality of the project in each of the Work Packages. Also was held a working session to determine the remaining tasks and the work to be developed in following months.
Representatives from all partners of the consortium: Indra Software Labs, Brainstorm Multimedia, Audemat, WinMedia, University of Padova, and also subcontractors: Cedetel and WhiteLoop attended to this meeting.
